Background & Objectives

Background

Indonesian student association of National University of Malaysia acts as an organization that gathers Indonesian students. It was established on 30 August 1986 which is known as Persatuan Pelajar Indonesia (PPI) through Indonesia students’ assembly at UKM. It was inaugurated by National University of Malaysia as an organization under PMUKM which has been given facilities the same like Malaysian student association at UKM.

National University of Malaysia was appointed as one of the four research universities of Malaysia by Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia.  The mission of ICMA 2017 is to provide opportunities for collaboration of professionals and researchers to share existing and generate new knowledge. Furthermore, the conference is part of contribution as achievement of UKM as an educational institution that can be utilized for the public and industry to get information.

Likewise, based on the Ministry of National of Education of Indonesia in terms of equivalency degree holder who is studying in higher education institutions in Malaysia that is equivalence with diploma holder in Indonesia due to lack of credit courses taken. While for master students who is taking coursework program only, it is difficult to make it equal by DIKTI with master students in Indonesia due to they do not have theses.

Based on the considerations above, Indonesian student association of National University of Malaysia will conduct the International conference to provide an opportunity for Indonesian students particularly and academicians (weather in Malaysia or not) generally to present and publish their research in journals indexed. Lastly, it is expected to improve the quality of research and get new ideas for future research in their respective fields.
